Cool Hamster Cages–Out With The Boring Old Hamster Cages!
Hamster cage manufacturers have recently begun constructing creative, elaborate, and wonderfully cool hamster
cages that can be enjoyed by both hamsters and their owners. Plain old hamster cages are rapidly becoming a relic
from the past.
As always, the best cool hamster cages depend upon the number of hamsters to be housed and their breed. The most
common types of pet hamsters are Dwarf hamsters and Syrian hamsters. Each requires slightly different care and a
different type of home in order to stay happy and healthy.
Dwarf hamsters can usually be kept in the same cage as other Dwarves, but the owner should always know each
hamster’s gender. Otherwise, you can quickly end up with more than you can handle! According to the experts,
however, even Dwarf hamsters are not guaranteed to get along forever, so it is important to have an extra cool
hamster cage in case the hamsters need to be separated.
Dwarf hamsters love to climb and crawl through tubes. Cool hamster cages have a plethora of places for the
hamsters to explore. There are often additional tubes available that can be attached to the existing tubes in a
cool hamster cage, making the cage even bigger and more elaborate. Of course, this results in happier hamster, as
well! All cool hamster cages should also have an exercise wheel and a water bottle.
Wire cages can be great for the owner, since cleaning is as easy as snapping off the wire, but hamsters also
love to chew and they will chew on the wire bars if they have been in a cage for an extended period of time.
Hamsters always need to have plenty of things to chew on for entertainment so they don’t destroy their home! Many
manufacturers of wire hamster cages also have attachments available that can be added on to expand the home.
Syrian hamsters are quite different from Dwarves. They are larger than Dwarves, and they always prefer to be
caged by themselves, even if they are from the same litter or were caged together in a pet store. The desire to be
solitary only increases as a Syrian hamster gets older. They will actually fight and seriously injure each other if
they are not separated.
Unlike Dwarves, Syrian hamsters prefer ground space as opposed to numerous tubes, but they still love to play
with a wheel. Syrian hamsters enjoy having different levels or platforms in their home, which can be connected with
ramps or even ladders. There are cool hamster cages available to keep all kinds of hamsters happy.
Hamsters make great pets. They are easy to care for and they bond with their owners. Their diet should consist
of a high quality store-bought food designed specifically for hamsters. Their food should be kept easily accessible
in a food bowl in their cool hamster cage.
The best cool hamster cages allow the hamsters plenty of room to roam around, play, sleep, exercise, and just
sit and observe the world around them. When these conditions are met, any hamster will live a long, happy, healthy
life.
